Seminar: “Individual well-being, social relationships, and community agency“
What factors influence social ties within communities, and what impact do they have on collective well-being and quality of life?
In the eighth seminar of the Building Communities cycle, organised by the P.L.A.C.E. Research Laboratory within the 2025–2026 programme of the School of Performing Arts and Community Care, we will reflect on:
● the relationship between individual well-being and the social dimension, with particular attention to the role of relationships and community networks in shaping quality of life;
● the ways in which the quality of social relations, civic participation and community dynamics influence social cohesion and the construction of contexts that foster widespread well-being;
● the contribution of educational, training and participatory practices to the development of processes of empowerment and community agency oriented towards the promotion of the common good;
● the role of educational institutions, scientific research and local organisations in building social ecosystems capable of supporting inclusion, participation and community development.
