Description
EUROMUSE pioneers a novel applied music sub-genre for museums ambient, enhancing visitor experiences. Original compositions, tailored for each exhibition, serve as a continuous, synesthetic layer to elevate the museum visit. The project employs a participatory model, fostering agile interaction between composers, museums, researchers, and active museum visitors known as The Community Muse Boards (CMB). With a diverse team of 50 experts from 7 countries, EUROMUSE establishes enduring connections between European art, local communities, museums, and research institutions. The sub-genre acts as a subtle mechanism, engaging global museum visitors in discovering new concepts and experiencing national and European heritage. EUROMUSE’s research focuses on empirically measuring the subgenre’s impact on visitor numbers, their time spent during exhibition, memory, perceptions, and experiences. It aims to provide tools for effective communication among composers, museums, researchers, and CMBs. This innovative project promises a museological shift and a new art consumption model, ensuring compositions align with diverse visitor sensibilities. EUROMUSE seeks to boost the prominence of European culture through its novel museological approach, applying acquired knowledge to both physical and digital museum realms.
