Educational neuroscience is an interdisciplinary field of analysis that seeks to translate research findings on the neural mechanisms of learning into educational practices and policies. REN Lab intends, therefore, to build a bridge between the old way of understanding pedagogy and neuroscience by attempting to rethink today’s educational and teaching models, acquiring significant elements of a new understanding with respect to the relationship between “perception,” action and cognition.
The main objectives are:
To investigate the dissemination of knowledge about the results of research in the field of neuroscience among teachers and educators, aimed at the promotion of training activities aimed at an enhancement of teaching/learning processes.
To investigate the prevalence of neuromythics in the educational context.
To map current lines of research in the field of “educational neuroscience,” with a focus on the identification and development of methods, models, and tools of systemic and technological origin to support educational, teaching and learning processes.
