Pierpaolo Limone

Rector of Pegaso Telematic University, full professor of Developmental and Educational Psychology (disciplinary sector M-PSI/04). For twenty years, he has been studying learning processes in digital and hybrid environments, producing approximately 250 publications that highlight both the risks and potential of serious games, MOOCs, and e-learning in ubiquitous and digital learning experiences. An expert in the initial and continuing training of teachers, he has supported the professional development of thousands of educators. He has established collaborations with leading international research centers in the field of learning sciences, securing tens of millions of euros in competitive funding, which has created numerous research opportunities for young scholars. In recent years, together with colleagues and collaborators, he has co-founded the Italian Society for Research on Media Education (SIREM), Italy’s main MOOC platform (EduOpen), and three national-interest PhD programs: Learning Sciences, Digital Transition, and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion. He coordinates the Center for Advanced Studies in Education (CASE), a large multi-site research lab focused on learning technologies, leading a team of around one hundred researchers.
