The P.L.A.C.E. Lab research operates in the field of community studies to help define solutions and intervention models, also through the integration of digital technologies, for the regeneration of places, the strengthening of the sense of community, the promotion of the agency of local actors, and the enhancement of local cultural heritage for sustainable development.
The main research areas include:
- Ecomuseum for small communities: Innovative Ecomuseum models tailored to communities at risk of depopulation.
- Participation and cultural heritage: Methodologies for the enhancement of cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible.
- Community pedagogy: Definition of a theoretical and methodological framework for Community Pedagogy.
- Territory and digitalization: Integration of smart technologies and AI solutions in community practices and for territory governance.
- Performing arts and community development: Study and experimentation of performing devices for community engagement and knowledge dissemination.
